The company: Our client is a multinational engineering group headquartered in London, with 100+ offices across five continents. They are currently hiring a Global Head of Tax to join their high performing finance team in central London.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly and year-end group tax reporting process to ensure tax reporting requirements are met in a timely fashion
- Play a key advisory role in cross-border tax planning and cash repatriation strategies (including equity injections and intercompany funding), aiming to reduce tax leakage and manage overall tax risk
- Ensure end-to-end compliance with UK, US, and international tax requirements, including corporate tax returns, statutory tax filings, and broader tax reporting obligations.
- Oversight of the outsourced transfer pricing documentation process and input into the general transfer pricing approach and strategy of the group;
- Develop comprehensive understanding of accounting and reporting systems to ensure effective tax accounting and reporting
- Support the business with group tax cash flow, budgeting and forecasting
- Manage UK corporate, indirect tax and other compliance matters, liaising with Group Finance and other business functions as appropriate
- Support the local country finance teams with the delivery of local tax filings, including supporting group documentation, as required
- Ensure that transfer pricing policies are understood and properly implemented by the business
