Job Description London Pet Club is looking for an experienced, reliable and professional Dog Walker and Pet Sitter to join our growing team. /n We are seeking someone looking for a long-term opportunity who can commit to working with us for a minimum of 6 months (or longer). /n This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has excellent dog handling skills, thrives working independently, and takes pride in providing exceptional care and customer service. /n ABOUT THE ROLE /n You will be responsible for providing professional dog walking and pet sitting services for our clients across London. /n Dog walks involve collecting dogs on foot and walking between 1-4 dogs at a time for up to 3 hours. Some dogs are exercised on lead, while others are walked off lead. /n Pet sitting assignments may include daytime visits, overnight stays and weekend bookings in clients' homes. /n As our services are based around our clients' schedules, applicants must be available Monday-Friday between 7am-4pm. Occasional evening, weekend and overnight pet sitting assignments may also be available. /n YOUR MAIN WORKING AREA: /n Finsbury Park, Islington, Hampstead, Tufnell Park /n HOURS /n Up to 20 hours a week /n PAY /n Dog walking: /n £13 per hour /n Paid monthly upon receipt of a valid invoice /n Pet sitting: /n 1-3 hours: £13 per hour /n 4+ hours or overnight sitting: £40 per day/night /n ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS /n Applicants must: /n -Be aged 21 or over /n -Have professional dog handling experience /n -Be confident walking dogs both on and off lead /n -Have experience working with dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments /n -Be physically fit and capable of walking for up to 3 hours /n -Be self-employed (or willing to register as self-employed) /n -Be able to commit to a minimum of 6 months /n -Be available Monday-Friday between 7am and 4pm /n -Be available for occasional evenings, weekends and overnight pet sitting /n -Be a non-smoker /n -Be an iPhone user with sufficient mobile data /n -Have excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills /n -Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions /n LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS /n The following must be obtained during the trial period (at the applicant's expense): /n -Proof of identity and right to work in the UK /n -DBS check /n -Public Liability Insurance /n TRIAL ASSESSMENT /n Successful applicants will complete a 1-month trial period. /n During the trial you will be assessed on your ability to: /n -Independently walk up to 3 dogs together, both on and off lead /n -Safely handle dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments /n -Walk for up to 3 hours at a time /n -Manage dog behaviour and interactions confidently /n -Clean and dry dogs after walks where required /n -Feed and care for pets /n -Use GPS tracking and mobile applications to provide live client updates /n -Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service and professionalism /n PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE /n Please note that experience gained solely from caring for your own pets, or pets belonging to family or friends, will not be considered professional experience. /n Applicants should be able to provide references from previous employers or established pet care businesses. /n APPLY /n Please submit your CV together with a cover letter explaining your relevant experience and why you would be a great fit for the role.
