Consumer Marketing Manager – London

Overview of team purpose

The consumer marketing team promote London to inspire and attract domestic and international audiences through best-in-class, data-led marketing campaigns, activations and partnerships across paid, owned and earned channels. Partnerships are central to our approach, working with London’s visitor economy, online travel agents and brands. Attracting more visitors results in additional economic value to the city and visitor economy.

Purpose of role

Deliver and help plan consumer marketing activity to promote London to international and domestic consumer audiences. You will help develop and execute best-in-class, data-led marketing activity, working closely with internal teams, stakeholders, global brands, commercial partners, and government bodies to maximise our impact and inspire our audiences.

Key Tasks

  • Deliver and help plan innovative, best-in-class consumer marketing on paid, owned and earned channels, from inception through to final evaluation
  • Use an audience led approach to build London’s global brand, inspire, engage and influences audiences to choose London.
  • Manage campaign activity, including creative and media agencies to ensure content and media plans are data led and audience first, delivering against the brief, KPIs and to budget
  • Work with the Head of Consumer Marketing to identify, build and manage marketing partnership opportunities to maximise the effectiveness of marketing activities, identifying and winning MIK and income opportunities.
  • Managing and coordinating marketing partnerships and stakeholders including global brands, event organisers, private sector, commercial partners and government bodies.
  • Work with internal teams including communications, owned channels, partnerships, major events and in-market teams to deliver high-performing owned and earned marketing strategies and content
  • Ensure cross team liaison and integration of consumer marketing activities with the wider organisation as appropriate
  • Manage budgets and resources efficiently and effectively
  • Deliver and help plan new consumer marketing opportunities

You’ll have/bring

  • Experience of project and campaign planning across owned, earned and paid media, including objective setting, audience segmentation, developing messaging frameworks, media planning briefs, optimisation, and evaluation
  • Experience of delivering marketing partnerships and activations from inception to evaluation
  • Experience of creating and managing relationships with internal teams, external commercial partners, global brands, publishers, and agencies
  • Strong stakeholder relationships, working with stakeholders from a variety of public and private organisations
  • Experience working with internal delivery teams and external creative and media agencies
  • Evidence of customer first, data led approach to marketing planning and execution
  • Solutions led and effective working in fast changing environments Experience in destination marketing, travel and tourism desired but not essential
