About the RoleAre you passionate about information governance and eager to help make London a better, fairer, and more innovative city? London Councils and LOTI are seeking a skilled Pan-London Information Governance Officer to join our dynamic team. You\βll play a pivotal role in supporting robust data sharing and privacy by design across multi-agency collaboration projects, working with organisations such as the GLA, London borough councils, the Home Office, Metropolitan Police, property developers, and health trusts.
From supporting the agile development of the Data for London Platform to enabling projects funded by the GLA Good Growth Programme, you\βll help deliver service improvements that protect the most vulnerable and encourage thriving communities. Bring your expertise to strategic initiatives like the Strategic Insights Tool for Rough Sleeping and the Pan London IoT Damp and Mould Project.
Your Impact
Advise on information governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for the Data for London Platform.
Deliver information governance aspects of product development, including risk and impact assessments.
Draft and maintain Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Data Sharing Agreements (DSAs).
Facilitate multi-agency working groups and stakeholder collaboration on pan-London data sharing projects.
Support training and awareness initiatives, ensuring best practice across LOTI, London Councils, the GLA, and partners.
Champion equality, diversity, and inclusivity in all aspects of your work.
About You
Experience supporting organisations to comply with information governance principles and data protection legislation (UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018).
Proven track record conducting DPIAs, especially for multi-agency data sharing projects.
Sound legal research and analytical skills, and knowledge of cyber security within information governance.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, able to explain complex concepts to varied audiences.
Strong organisational and time management skills for managing multiple concurrent projects.
Enjoy problem-solving in complex and ambiguous environments, combining creativity and pragmatism.
Preferably, experience working in the public sector, knowledge of data sharing platforms and technologies, and agile software development.

LOTI operates a hybrid working model, encouraging flexibility while valuing in-person collaboration. You\βll have the opportunity to work remotely, at borough sites, and in our central London office. Team gatherings at 12 Arthur Street occur fortnightly, with additional events throughout the year. You should be willing and able to spend at least two days per week at London Councils and GLA offices.
