PAEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (SELF-EMPLOYED ASSOCIATE)
Location: London and surrounding areas (current work primarily in Greenwich)
Looking for flexible, rewarding paediatric OT work across London?
We're offering a unique opportunity for an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to carry out school-based EHCP assessments and intervention sessions on a self-employed basis.
This role is ideal for a therapist who can commit to a minimum of two weekdays' availability during school hours and is looking for consistent school-based work. You'll work independently, manage your own diary, and make a meaningful difference to children's participation, independence and wellbeing.
As an award-winning independent multidisciplinary therapy practice, we're passionate about delivering high-quality, child-centred care that helps children and young people reach their full potential. As our practice continues to grow, we're looking for clinicians who share our values and want to grow with us.
We are a fully mobile service, delivering Occupational Therapy within schools and homes across London and the surrounding areas. There is no expectation of office-based working--just purposeful clinical work, flexibility and the autonomy to do what you do best.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Conduct comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments to support Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Produce clear, high-quality assessment reports with practical, evidence-based recommendations.
- Deliver private and school-based Occupational Therapy intervention sessions.
- Set meaningful goals based on assessment findings.
- Work collaboratively with school staff, families and other professionals.
- Manage your own clinical workload while maintaining accurate records and professional standards.
Current referrals are primarily based within Croydon, with opportunities expected to expand across London and the surrounding areas as the practice continues to grow. Applicants should therefore be willing to travel where required.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum of 2 years' paediatric Occupational Therapy experience.
- Experience completing EHCP assessments and writing professional reports.
- Strong clinical reasoning and report-writing skills.
- Confidence working independently and managing your own caseload.
- Access to your own clinical supervision (as this is a self-employed associate role).
- Availability for a minimum of two weekdays per week during school hours.
- Ability to travel within London and the surrounding areas.
- Experience working within schools.
- Experience providing EHCP advice for Local Authorities.
- Experience supporting children with sensory processing differences, motor coordination difficulties, neurodevelopmental conditions and functional independence needs.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Β£50 per hour for intervention sessions.
- Flexible self-employed working that fits around your availability.
- Administrative support, allowing you to focus on clinical work.
- A supportive, collaborative multidisciplinary team.
- No micromanagement--just meaningful work, flexibility and fair pay.
- The opportunity to grow alongside an expanding award-winning practice.
