An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Theatre Support Worker to join the team working in theatres.
The Post Holder Will Be Responsible For:
- Assisting the surgical team to provide a quality service.
- Assisting the surgical team to deliver safe patient care.
- Supporting the surgical team in the preparation of sterile and non-sterile equipment.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy environment throughout theatres.
- Maintaining good stock levels.
- Working as part of the nights and weekends CEPOD team.
- Maintaining good working relationships within the team.
- Communicating well both verbally and in writing.
- Working under supervision and providing routine information.
- Reporting any concerns regarding patient care.
- Maintaining confidentiality.
- Recording care under the supervision of the trained nurse.
- Ensuring infection control standards are maintained by all members of the MDT.
- Joining weekend and night rotation after competence training.
You must also demonstrate a good verbal and written command of English, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a reasonable level of numeracy equivalent to GCSE. There will be an expectation that you complete a Care Certificate qualification in Perioperative care.
