Job Title: Cardiology Physiologist
Join our dynamic Cardiology department working with a large team of cardiac physiologists. This role offers training opportunities for your SCST certificate and diploma in ECG analysis.
Key Duties:
- Perform routine physiological measurements, such as ECG recording and interpretation.
- Conduct 24-hour Holter rhythm monitoring and analysis (Spacelabs).
- Perform 24-hour blood pressure monitoring and analysis (Spacelabs).
- Carry out exercise tolerance testing.
- Assist with exercise and dobutamine stress echocardiography.
- Maintain clinical records for tests performed.
- Supervise less experienced healthcare scientists and other healthcare assistants within the department.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide technical clinical support within the cardiology department.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
- Report abnormal diagnostic findings to senior staff before patient departure.
- Take responsibility for ECG recordings, ambulatory monitoring, and supervised stress testing.
Additional Aspects:
- Flexibility to work across sites as required.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Lead Cardiac Physiologist to ensure departmental efficiency.
