As a key player in our Safety & Environment team, you'll actively manage and enhance LNER's Energy and Environmental Management System (EEMS). Your attention to detail will be crucial as you monitor legislation, develop compliance programs, and conduct environmental audits.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and improving LNER's EEMS
- Developing and monitoring internal controls for legal and EEMS compliance
- Collaborating with stakeholders to implement compliance activities
- Managing external audits and certifications
- Providing training on regulations and best practices
- Monitoring progress and reporting to stakeholders
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- A recognised environmental management qualification or be happy to work towards one
- Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 management systems
- Knowledge of energy and environmental legislation
- Understanding of compliance requirements such as SECR and ESOS
- Experience in environmental audit and stakeholder engagement
