What you will be doing;
An exciting opportunity has become available for to join our Engineering Team as a ERTMS Safety Assurance Manager, working in close collaboration with industry partners as part of the industry leading East Coast Digital Programme (ECDP) as we migrate the East Coast Mainline to an operational ETCS railway and introducing the new ‘CAF\’ Fleet in to LNER.
Within this role you will be responsible for providing assurance to the business that both projects are being delivered in line with the company project management principles and are on track to be delivered on time and on budget. Working closely with the LNER ERTMS Team, Hitachi, LNER CAF Project Team, Network Rail and others. You will review project plans ensuring that they are fit for purpose, aligned with LNER business strategy and are providing value for money.
Successfully delivering this ETCS and the new fleet will be an integral part of our Business Plan, allowing us to carry more customers, more often and reliably, helping to grow the business sustainably and moving us closer to achieving our vision.
With this in mind, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering Team as ERTMS Safety Assurance Manager.
As our ERTMS and New Trains Safety and Assurance Manager you will have a particular focus on plans which are in place to address safety critical activity or processes and ensure that these are of sufficient depth and quality to facilitate the seamless introduction of ERTMS and our new trains. You will provide assurance to the ORR & LNER that the change has been managed in line with internal SMS Change Validation processes & external obligations under relevant industry standards and will be responsible for ensuring a process is in place to make any necessary changes to LNER\’s Rail Safety Case.
