Our Academy London Nautical, City of London Academy, is a distinctive and historic school, housed in a magnificent listed building on the South Bank of the Thames. About the role

As an English Teacher within the City of London Academy Trust, you will join a department at a pivotal stage in its development and play a leading role in shaping the academic success of our students. We are seeking an ambitious, talented and highly effective practitioner who is passionate about raising standards and ensuring that every young person develops the literacy, communication and critical thinking skills needed to thrive in higher education, employment and modern society. This is an opportunity for a teacher who is motivated by challenge and excited by the prospect of making a visible and lasting impact. You will deliver engaging, intellectually rigorous and inclusive lessons that inspire a genuine appreciation of English language and literature whilst driving exceptional progress for all students. Working alongside supportive colleagues and senior leaders, you will contribute to the continued development of a high-quality curriculum, evidence-informed teaching practice and a culture of high expectations.
