ABOUT US
Transforming lives through excellent education
London Met is an extraordinary institution. Equity and social inclusion have always been our driving principles, and it's what makes the University so unique. Our organisation is distinctive, both in its eclectic and diverse community of students and staff, and also for its historical role in serving some of London’s most deprived boroughs. Everything we do is underpinned by our philosophy that an individual should have the opportunity to transform their life through the power of education.
Equipping our students with the tools for their future is at the heart of our academic offering. We pride ourselves on providing our students with access to a wealth of opportunities and professions. Our graduates benefit personally, but also contribute their unique perspectives to society, culture, public service and the economy in all areas of London, the UK and around the world.
ABOUT THE POST
London Metropolitan University is looking for an experienced and ambitious Regional Manager (South Asia) to lead student recruitment across one of our most strategically important regions.
This is a high-impact role responsible for delivering ambitious enrolment targets, expanding our regional presence, and developing strategic partnerships across South Asia. Acting as the University’s senior representative in the region, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our international growth in these key recruitment markets.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
In this role, you will lead the development and delivery of regional recruitment plans, driving Undergraduate and Postgraduate recruitment through a mix of in-country activity, strategic partnerships, and targeted conversion campaigns. You’ll take an evidence-led approach to identifying new markets and opportunities, using data and insight to inform business planning and growth strategies.
A key part of the role involves managing and developing a network of agents, partners, and feeder institutions across the region, as well as overseeing the University’s South Asia office and supporting in-country staff. You will represent London Met at events, exhibitions, and partner engagements, helping to build our reputation and visibility in a highly competitive market.
Working closely with colleagues across Admissions, Marketing, Compliance, and Academic Schools, you will ensure a joined-up and effective approach to international recruitment. You will also monitor performance, report on outcomes, and provide market intelligence to support wider institutional strategy.
ABOUT YOU
You will bring significant experience in international student recruitment within Higher Education, with strong knowledge of South Asia and a proven track record of achieving targets. You are confident working in complex, fast-paced environments and are skilled at building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, from agents and partners to internal teams.
You’ll be both strategic and hands-on, comfortable developing regional plans while also delivering activity on the ground. Strong analytical skills are essential, alongside the ability to translate insight into action. Experience managing staff or overseas operations will be important, as will your ability to represent the University with credibility and impact on the global stage.
WHY JOIN LONDON METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY?
This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead in a priority region for a globally ambitious University. You’ll have the autonomy to shape strategy, build partnerships, and make a visible impact on our international recruitment success, while working within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Please note, the role involves regular international travel, including evenings and weekends where required.
