ABOUT THE POST
We are looking for an experienced Marketing and Campaigns Officer to join our Marketing team. This role is central to promoting the University's undergraduate and postgraduate offer, helping to attract prospective students through effective, insight-led marketing activity.
The successful candidate will lead the delivery of marketing campaigns; create engaging content across digital and print channels; manage course information and web content; and work closely with Academic Schools and key stakeholders to develop recruitment-focused marketing activity.
Key responsibilities include:
Marketing Campaigns
Develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns to increase student enquiries, applications, and enrolments across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Work with Academic Schools to create tailored marketing strategies that support recruitment objectives.
Report on campaign outcomes, digital analytics, and sector insights to inform future marketing activity.
Content Creation and Website Management
Lead the creation of compelling content for prospective student audiences across digital and print channels.
Manage recruitment-focused content projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring consistency of messaging and brand.
Create and maintain high-quality website content using the University's content management system.
Optimise web content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and student engagement.
Coordinate and support the University's network of website contributors, maintaining publishing standards and approving content where required.
Course Portfolio Management
Manage the University's undergraduate and postgraduate course portfolio across digital and print platforms.
Ensure course information is accurate, engaging, compliant with Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) requirements, and aligned with brand guidelines.
Maintain course data across the University website, internal databases, third-party websites, and prospectuses.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary marketing contact for assigned Academic Schools, providing expert advice and high levels of customer service.
Build strong working relationships with academics, recruitment teams, agencies, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with the Enquiries and Conversion team to support lead nurturing and conversion activity.
Develop effective networks across the University to support the achievement of recruitment and institutional objectives.
Brand and Communications
Act as a brand guardian, ensuring all marketing materials adhere to the University's corporate identity and style guidelines.
Support colleagues across the University by providing advice on branding, content, and marketing best practice.
Additional Responsibilities
Deputise for the Marketing and Campaigns Manager when required.
Support marketing activity across other Academic Schools and projects as needed.
ABOUT YOU
You will be a confident marketing professional with experience in campaign delivery, content creation, website management and stakeholder engagement. You will possess excellent communication and project management skills, a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You will be passionate about creating impactful marketing campaigns and content that inspire prospective students and support the University's recruitment goals.
You will have excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior colleagues, academics and professional services teams. Acting as the key link between your assigned Academic Schools and the central Marketing team, you will become a trusted partner who understands each school's priorities and recruitment goals. You will take ownership of your Schools' course portfolios, developing a strong understanding of their unique selling points and target audiences. You will be responsible for ensuring course content is accurate, engaging and up to date across all channels, continually seeking opportunities to enhance course pages and support student recruitment.
