We are seeking an Associate Lecturer in Sound Design for Games to deliver an undergraduate module focused on creative and technical audio production for video games. The role requires expertise in sound design, audio post-production, and the use of industry-standard middleware such as FMOD and Wwise. The lecturer will guide students in capturing, designing, processing, and implementing audio assets, while supporting them in developing professional, collaborative workflows typical of real-world game production environments.
The lecturer might also ideally have Audio Plug-in Coding expertise, to deliver an undergraduate module introducing students to C++, digital signal processing, and the JUCE framework for developing audio plug-ins. The lecturer will guide students in creating simple but functional plug-ins for major DAWs using formats such as VST3, AU and AAX, supporting them as they move from foundational programming concepts through to complete audio tool design.
