Work Patterns: Monday to Friday 37 hours per week (12 month FTC)
Job Purpose Summary: As a People Advisor, you will provide a proactive and professional customer service to all LLA stakeholders, being responsible for delivery of a full range of people resource services.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Being the first point of contact for our employees, via email and phone.
- Assisting with the selection, recruitment and onboarding of employees.
- Assisting managers through the investigation, disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Advising employees on the employee benefits provided, e.g. healthcare, pension (non-financial advice), Employee Assistance Program, Occupational health and Absence reporting.
- Providing Employee Relations advice and working through minor to moderate cases across all departments, and shadowing complex cases with the HRBPs.
- Delivering inductions across LLA.
- Exploring opportunities for employee development.
- Assisting with the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices.
- Advising and assisting on issues relating to workplace relations and performance management.
- Providing advice and assistance on policies, procedures and legislation.
- Management of personal data and entry/updates on the relevant systems we operate.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- The ideal candidate would hold and have some experience and knowledge in the following:
- Demonstrable experience working within a Human Resources environment previously.
- Experience of working with databases and online systems.
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
- Good understanding of employment law and Human resources as a whole.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent – or working towards.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Act with integrity and honesty and maintain confidentiality at all times.
