The predicted salary is between 11 - 14 Β£ per hour.
The Reception team is the pivot of the surgery. It is imperative that we have a strong Reception team to ensure the continued smooth running of the practice.
Main duties of the job:
- Meet and greet patients attending surgery at the front desk
- Answer the telephone
- Book in appointments using EMIS clinical system
- Deal with any clinical queries or directing these to the correct department
- Deal with queries relating to prescriptions, appointments, referrals, forms etc or passing to the correct team if required, ensuring that the enquiry is handled efficiently
- Maintain a professional and calm approach to anyone attending the surgery or calling in on the telephone
- Support any clinical staff as required
- Ensure clinical rooms stocked at the end of the day
This is a part-time role of 16 hours a week as follows:
- Tuesdays: 13.45 to 18.45 (5 hours)
- Wednesdays: 13.45 to 18.45 (5 hours)
- Fridays: 08.00 to 14.00 (6 hours)
You will also be required to work the occasional Saturday shift.
Person Specification:
- A clear speaking voice is essential for this role
- Previous experience of working in a GP surgery or a healthcare setting would be helpful
