About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the London Irish Centre at a key moment for our Fundraising and Marketing function. In recent years, the Fundraising team has achieved strong and consistent growth, expanding income streams across challenge events, corporate partnerships, individual giving, legacy fundraising, and community-focused activity. This role will play a central part in building on that progress and helping the LIC reach its income goals.
As our Fundraising and Marketing Officer, you will take ownership of several core fundraising initiatives with support and guidance from the Head of Fundraising and Marketing. You will have the opportunity to shape and grow key income streams, including challenge events, monthly giving, and legacy fundraising. You will also contribute to the delivery of marketing activity, particularly through e‑marketing and stewardship communications that help strengthen our relationships with supporters.
In addition to the fundraising areas you will lead, you will work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Marketing across our wider portfolio. This includes supporting the delivery of fundraising events, contributing to the development of our corporate partnership programme, and playing a role in major fundraising campaigns such as our annual Christmas and St. Patrick’s appeals.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across a range of activities, thrives in a fast‑moving environment, and is motivated by meeting targets and seeing the impact of their work. It offers genuine room for growth, including opportunities to represent the charity at networking events, build relationships with donors and partners, and contribute to shaping the future of fundraising at the London Irish Centre.
About You

Required Skills
- Experience in fundraising, marketing, or a related role, ideally with at least some exposure to managing events or donor programmes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write compelling content for donors and supporters
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- A proactive, self‑starter attitude, balanced with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- A genuine interest in the mission of the London Irish Centre and enthusiasm for helping us grow our impact
Desirable Skills
- Experience working on challenge events, monthly giving, or legacy fundraising programmes
- Confidence using tools such as Donorfy CRM, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, WordPress, and Canva
- Experience with data reporting and analysis to inform strategy and decision‑making
- Experience representing an organisation at events or in networking environments
