The Workday Financials Systems analyst will provide user support to both the Workday Financials application alongside the Workday T&E application currently in use in our European businesses.

ROLE PURPOSE: To enable operational support of the recently implemented Workday Financials and T&E. Further countries are in line for deployment later this year and the support workload is expected to increase significantly, with the use of Workday Financials and associated integrations. The job holder will work alongside existing resources in the team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work with business users to provide third line support of Workday Financials and Travel & Expenses.
  • Challenge designs and business requests to ensure a standard design is achieved globally for all Finance systems, allowing for localisations in country.
  • Work closely with existing project team to ensure any support requests do not break existing design decisions. If they do and are valid, take these to design authority for decisions.
  • Work with third party support partners to spread workload where necessary and where sensitive information is involved.
  • Ensure all changes, fixes are tested and signed off before deployment to ensure full audit trail of changes.
  • Support new user training for deployed countries where necessary.
  • Support half yearly Workday release reviews and testing against existing build.
  • Work alongside HCM colleagues who currently manage the main security of the application.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proficiency in Workday Financials as a user and/or consultant.
  • Solid grounding in accounting principles.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in the following areas in Workday Finance: Record to Report, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Prism & Accounting Centre (less important).
  • Understanding of/experience of Insurance Broking.
  • Experience of a large global programme involving significant business operational change.
  • Able to build and sustain the confidence of senior level stakeholders.

  • Keep informed of all legal and regulatory developments relevant to the Company/Group.
  • Interprets instructions and issues arising and then implement actions according to policies and procedures.

  • Remains aware of external, industry, legal and regulatory developments (where this is relevant to the job role) to ensure practice and outputs are of a sufficiently high standard.

Regulatory and Compliance:

  • Ensures compliance of self and team (as appropriate if the job holder has line management responsibilities) with all applicable legal, fiscal and regulatory obligations in the form of policies and procedures.
  • Ensures correct authorisation is obtained and processes followed when required by the Operating Entity and/or Group.
  • Ensures performance, HR and T&C records are up to date and meet the Operating Entity and/or Group’s requirements.
  • Maintains accurate records and deal with correspondence appropriately.
  • Operates in an honest, professional and ethical manner.
  • Strictly adheres to the Group Employee Code of Conduct, which also applies to Contractors.
  • Completes all relevant regulatory training.
  • Ensure they remain competent to carry out role.

This role operates a hybrid working pattern of 2 days a week in the office and may have travel linked to the role. Interviews for this role will commence before the end date of this advert.
