About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Data Project Manager to lead complex projects within our Group Data Function. You will manage high-priority initiatives across global business units, ensuring the successful delivery of data-driven and technology projects. A strong background in data lakes, analytics, and cloud platforms is highly preferred. You will drive best practices, provide leadership, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Project Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end execution of high-impact, multi-regional data technology projects.
- Stakeholder & Executive Engagement: Work closely with senior business leaders, data teams, and technical experts to drive alignment and project success.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks while ensuring project delivery remains on track.
- Process & Governance Improvement: Play a key role in shaping and refining the project management function, implementing best practices.
- Technical Team Coordination: Partner with highly technical data teams and ensure collaboration across IT and engineering groups.
- Clear Communication: Provide executive-level reporting and translate technical concepts into strategic insights for senior stakeholders.
- Multi-Project Management: Handle multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-moving, global environment.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex projects.
- Expertise in Agile delivery methodologies, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.
- Strong technical awareness, with experience managing data, analytics, and cloud-based initiatives.
- Background in insurance or financial services is highly preferred.
- Ability to challenge unrealistic timelines and ensure technical teams stay accountable.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, etc.).
- Project Management Certifications: Possess relevant certifications e.g. - PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, etc.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
