We've got an exciting opportunity to join us as our Senior Account Executive, to help drive our business forward with new engagements and existing clients alike. As part of your role, you will have the important task of connecting with retail clients and in particular a focus on working with various teams within the Specialty Division to present at RFPs and win new clients for the group, including ensuring all the needs for new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments are completely understood and addressed. This will involve finding the right coverages, offering competitive pricing, and providing outstanding service to clients and colleagues alike.

What you'll do

  • Regularly work with various teams within Howden producing responses to RFPs to new clients from a D&O Insurance point of view and seeking out and engaging opportunities to expand the book of business, continuously growing and maintaining a pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Review client documentation to ensure that information presented is sufficiently comprehensive (and accurate!) to support the quoting / RFP presentation process.
  • Diligently collate and communicate clients’ requirements to ensure appropriate marketing of the risk.
  • Produce high quality, accurate market documentation ensuring appropriate authorisations are secured.

Who we're looking for

  • You'll be someone with prior knowledge of the market, including an awareness of competitors, specific territory knowledge, cultural awareness.
  • You have a customer-focussed approach, with strong networking and influencing skills. People are key to us!
  • Able to work flexibly and prioritise on-the-fly.
  • Calm and resilient, yet accurate and efficient.

What do we offer in return?

A career that you define. At Howden, we value diversity – there is no one Howden type. Instead, we’re looking for individuals who share the same values as us:

  • Our successes have all come from someone brave enough to try something new.
  • We support each other in the small everyday moments and the bigger challenges.
  • We are determined to make a positive difference at work and beyond.

Reasonable adjustments

We're committed to providing reasonable accommodations at Howden to ensure that our positions align well with your needs. Besides the usual adjustments such as software, IT, and office setups, we can also accommodate other changes such as flexible hours or hybrid working. If you're excited by this role but have some doubts about whether it’s the right fit for you, send us your application – if your profile fits the role’s criteria, we will be in touch to assist in helping to get you set up with any reasonable adjustments you may require.
