Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and analytically strong AI Governance Analyst to join the team. This role will play a key part in operationalising safe and responsible AI use across the organisation. This position reports to the Head of AI Governance and works closely with wider business stakeholders to support the delivery of governance processes, assess AI use cases, and help embed practical controls that align with the AI governance frameworks and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- AI Governance Delivery
- Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of AI governance framework, standards and guidance.
- Support the implementation of practical controls to ensure safe and responsible use of AI across the business.
- Assist in embedding governance processes in day-to-day operations.
- AI Intake and Risk Framework
- Support the end-to-end lifecycle of AI use cases, including intake, triage, risk assessment, approval tracking and ongoing review.
- Work with business stakeholders to gather required information to ensure governance standards are applied.
- Support ongoing refinement of workflows and frameworks, identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies.
- Help drive adoption of governance tooling across the organisation.
- Reporting and Insights:
- Take ownership of regular reporting on AI use (sanctioned/unsanctioned), risk exposure, and governance activity.
- Contribute materials prepared for governance forums and intranet sites.
- Provide clear and practical guidance on governance requirements.
- Regulatory Awareness:
- Maintain awareness of emerging AI regulatory developments that may impact the organisation.
- Assist in updating internal frameworks and controls in response to regulatory change.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build effective working relationships with business, technology, risk, and legal teams.
- Act as a point of contact for stakeholders submitting AI use cases.
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to work effectively with business stakeholders.
- Interest in AI, emerging technology, and risk/governance frameworks.
- Ability to organise and manage multiple tasks in a structured way.

- Experience in risk, compliance, data protection, or technology-related roles.
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts or technology governance, with an appetite to build practical skills in areas such as basic AI assistant development and automation.
