London Hire Community Services provides accessible home-to-school transport services for users unable to access public transport. Our services operate under a full passenger vehicle operator\’s licence and adhere to industry standards, prioritizing passenger and staff safety, managed under OHSAS 18001 for health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the driver in ensuring passenger safety and comfort.
• Help passengers board and disembark, including those with disabilities, following Health and Safety guidelines.
• Monitor and supervise passengers during transit, ensuring their welfare.
• Assist with the operation of passenger lifts or other boarding equipment as needed.
• Secure wheelchairs correctly using suitable equipment.
• Ensure passengers in wheelchairs are secured with safety belts or other devices.
• Communicate patiently and informatively with passengers and clients.
• Report delays and incidents according to depot procedures.
• Keep the vehicle secure when in use.
• Utilize communication equipment effectively for safe and efficient service.

• Understanding of disabilities.
• Patience and a level-headed attitude.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
