The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) is the organisation through which the Mayor of London exercises his role as the Police and Crime Commissioner for London and is led by the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime. MOPAC undertakes a broad range of statutory duties and works closely with the Mayor of London, Deputy Mayor, and Metropolitan Police Service to deliver the priorities that will create safer London communities.

The Procurement, Contracts, and Grants Team is calling for an enthusiastic person to join our team. MOPAC are looking to recruit a Procurement Support Officer to support the work of the newly established Procurement Team, and help MOPAC to meet the requirements of the forthcoming Procurement Act.
The main responsibilities of the role:
- Providing the Procurement Contracts and Grants Team with administrative support as needed.
- Working in an organised way to support the work of the procurement team.
- Using your initiative to anticipate needs and identify potential problems in the day-to-day work of the Team before they become issues.
- Assisting the Team in providing a high-quality service to commissioners by being proactive, supportive, and willing to go the extra step – taking a teamwork focussed approach.
- Using our e-tendering system to publish the required transparency notices, helping us to fulfil our duties under procurement legislation.
- Working collaboratively and communicating effectively with commissioning officers and other internal stakeholders throughout procurement processes.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to develop an existing interest in procurement and improve your understanding of the procurement and contracting lifecycle. Your work will help MOPAC to meet the requirements of the new Procurement Act, and you will help us to improve the supporting systems and processes to make positive change within a fast-paced and political landscape.
