We prepare the Mayor's London Plan and planning guidance. We also advise on local plans and key planning decisions.

The London Plan, produced by the Mayor of London, is a blueprint for development and growth in London. It includes policies on key issues such as new homes, workplaces, public transport and open spaces. It sets out an economic, environmental, transport and social framework for development.

Resources include details of our Opportunity Areas, London Plan Guidance, Community Infrastructure Levy and monitoring reports. Guidance published by the Mayor supports the London Plan, including draft guidance.

Planning Applications provide information on our public hearings, current cases, the Mayor's role in planning applications and pre-applications.

Data and Projects involve a number of initiatives aimed at opening up data and information on planning and development.

Collaboration includes other planning bodies we work with, such as our working groups, Wider South East, government and London boroughs.

The Planning for London Programme gathers evidence, gets the views of Londoners and others, and identifies issues and options that a future review of the London Plan could consider.

Engagement involves reading and responding to consultations published by the Planning team. This page contains details of past and future public hearings, the hearing procedure along with directions to refuse permission and planning appeals the Mayor is involved with.
