The Role
We are recruiting for 2 placement streams:
Placement Role 1. Weekday Operations, Membership & Communications
- Core availability: Weekday evenings, typically 4:00–10:30pm, plus selected weekend matches/events where applicable.
- Core availability: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, plus additional administration hours as required. Early morning availability on weekends is essential.
- Support membership registrations, records, attendance lists and payment follow-ups
- Respond to basic member, parent and participant enquiries
- Assist with reception and participant arrivals
- Support coaches and staff with training-session operations
- Help with equipment, venue set-up and set-down
- Support match days, events and weekend programmes
- For the weekday placement, assist with social media preparation, photos/videos and simple interview or podcast-style content
About You
We are looking for:
- An undergraduate student completing a recognised university placement
- Students from relevant degree areas including Sports Management, Business, Business Administration, Project Management, Event Management, Marketing & Advertising, Public Relations, Communications, Business Information Systems, Sport & Exercise or similar courses
- A reliable, organised and adaptable person with meticulous attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapting to changing priorities
- Someone who learns quickly, takes initiative and is comfortable becoming increasingly independent
- Good communication skills and willingness to work evenings, weekends and early mornings where required
- Work rights: Applicants must already have the right to undertake the placement in the UK. This may include UK citizens, permanent residents and eligible UK Student visa holders where the placement is permitted as part of their course. We cannot provide visa sponsorship.
- £250 contribution towards transportation and food costs per month
- Hands‑on experience within a competitive and dynamic sports organisation
- Experience across sports operations, membership, events, communications and match‑day delivery
- Opportunity to work alongside experienced coaches, athletes and sports‑management staff
- Increasing responsibility and independent ownership of tasks as the placement develops
Students will need to arrange their own accommodation and travel to our South London venues.

- Ongoing guidance, feedback and practical training
- Support with relevant university placement requirements and academic projects where appropriate
- Experience designed to support future careers in sports management, operations, events and administration
