What is the role?

London Gatwick is evolving rapidly, presenting an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager (Civils) to join our high‑performing and expanding Airfield and Civils Programme. You will lead strategic construction projects from conception, through execution and closeout across a portfolio ranging from £5 to £150m, including Runways, taxiways and roads and upgrading air traffic control systems.

What will you do?

Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will take complex projects through design, procurement, construction and delivery, ensuring high‑quality results and the successful handover that contributes to Gatwick’s future infrastructure.

Do you have what we’re looking for?

• Significant experience as a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager, leading infrastructure projects in a live operational environment worth over £20m, ideally in highways, airfields, rail or nuclear.
• Experience leading teams of 10 people or more.
• Demonstrable experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, explaining priorities straightforwardly.
• Proven leadership and influencing skills, ability to motivate, coach and create learning opportunities.
• A qualification in Project Management (eg APM PMQ) and a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction is desirable.
