This role takes an office first hybrid approach here at London Gatwick, with three days a week in the office, two days remote, managed around the needs of the business.
What is the role?
Responsible for the service delivery and improvement of operational and non-operational business facing digital technologies, executing agreed strategies and ensuring robust service delivery mechanisms. Responsible for the continuous improvement of Gatwick's Products and Platforms, utilising agile and product management methodologies, enabling the delivery of roadmaps underpinned by effective support services.
What will you do?
- Technical authority and responsible for an agreed portfolio of applications including Check-in and bag-drop.
- Responsible for service ownership, problem management, change approval, DR plans, and acceptance of new and modified services into live operation.
- Responsible for ensuring suppliers meet SLAs and ensuring contracts are fit for purpose in line with business needs.
- Responsible for capturing and documenting requirements with stakeholders for technical solutions.
- Maintains and develops relationships with Senior stakeholders, suppliers and super-user groups for technology and road mapping opportunities.
- Leads internal & external stakeholders to identify opportunities and continuously enhance capabilities.
- Contribute to new technology solutions and business process improvement actions.
- Aids internal and external customers in resolving complex technical issues relating to portfolio area.
Do you have what we're looking for?
- Degree level Technology related qualification (e.g. Computer Science) - Beneficial.
- IC Agile qualification or equivalent.
- Experience of passenger check-in technologies & systems, Configuration Management Databases (CMDB's) and engineering systems.
- Experience of working with 3rd party suppliers and service providers.
- Experience of the aviation industry.
- Experience of requirements capture, requirements management, testing and service transition.
- Awareness of service management and how this operates in a Gatwick or similar context.
- Working within an IT team in complex, medium or large organisation.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to research solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, able to translate and deliver technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Knowledge of business analysis, requirements management, testing and service transition.
- Knowledge of ITIL V3/V4.
- Knowledge of IT Market and Trends.
- Expertise in a range of technologies in a portfolio of applications.
