As London Gatwick’s Head of Marketing, you will lead our passionate marketing team to define and deliver the marketing strategies and campaigns that build our brand reputation, creating an unrivalled experience for everyone that travels through our airport!

Role Purpose

The Head of Marketing is a pivotal role in defining, leading and executing the commercial marketing strategy. Leading a team of marketers, the role focusses on building brand reputation, driving passenger volume, optimising revenue performance and building customer satisfaction, loyalty & lifetime value. The role also helps shape and define the brand and reputational image of Gatwick, aligned to defined customer segment needs, ensuring this then transmits through a clear & coherent passenger experience delivery.

Key Deliverables

  1. Define and execute short & medium term campaigns & promotions, aligned with targeted business outcomes ( pax volume/income)
  2. Drive forward the ‘look and feel’ investment programme, focussed on elevating the Gatwick airport product ( reputation, nps, customer satisfaction)
  3. Develop a personalised, timely & relevant approach to customer engagement through CRM & other interactions ( income/data acquisition/life-time value)
  4. Enhance the understanding of customer needs and demands through market research, identifying relevant insights that drive business behaviour & that create value opportunities ( actionable insights, product development, customer satisfaction)
  5. Continue to optimise the performance of marketing activity through robust measurement & evaluation ( ROI)

Experience we’re looking for

  • Designing and delivering marketing/advertising campaigns, both directly, and indirectly by managing a team of marketing professionals
  • Driving forward ‘look and feel’ / cosmetic investments of scale, in physical premises/spaces
  • Managing in brand across a multi-faceted B2C environment
  • Implementing customer relationship management strategy, ideally within a strong/identified B2C environment
  • Managing a programme of market research gathering, or moreover, capability at identifying insights that translates to tangible value-additive business outcomes
  • Working with ambiguity and applying commercial instinct to maximise opportunities

  • Able to influence/challenge, using data/logic to support position at Exec level
