What is the role?

The Capacity & Business Planning Analyst will be responsible for strategic decision making for all areas of the airport infrastructure through airport modelling. The role will use mathematical & simulation and optimisation modelling to drive evidence-based decision making and performance. You’ll partner closely with cross functional teams and operational performance leads to understand business needs, contribute to capital projects, and build efficient solutions.

Through data analysis, they will propose solutions that deliver continuous improvement across the airport operational infrastructure. They will be a key member of the cross functional teams, analysing operational performance, understanding business needs, influencing capital project solutions, and helping to build efficient solutions.

What will you do?

  • Collaborate with performance leads and business stakeholders to study and model operational processes and identify opportunities for efficiency.
  • Responsible for designing and building analytical airfield & terminal models that significantly influence the airport’s strategic decision making.
  • Present results, recommendations, and rationale to airlines, business stakeholders, and executive leaders for recommended solutions.
  • Drive continuous productivity improvement across infrastructure design.
  • Collaborate and influence performance leads and business stakeholders by modelling operational processes to identify opportunities for efficiency.
  • Consolidate data to enable critical analysis.
  • Provide insight on future growth potential and impact.
  • Take accountability for the execution of work according to agreed timelines and quality standards, understanding project objectives, scope, and airline expectations.

Do you have what we’re looking for?

Essential

  • Academic background in aerospace engineering, operational research, mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering or related disciplines.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Logic driven problem solving skills.
  • Consciousness of operational and commercial impacts of decision making.

Desirable

  • Background in programming e.g. VBA / Python.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of the construction, infrastructure or energy sectors.
  • Experience in airport modelling e.g. CAST/ ArcPORT/ AirTOP.
