Company LFS Limited is a well‑established and growing passive fire protection contractor, delivering fire stopping and fire door works across residential, commercial, and public‑sector frameworks. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Passive Fire Project/Contracts Manager to take full ownership of live projects and lead delivery across multiple sites with minimal supervision.
Role Overview
This is a delivery‑focused position. You will be trusted to run projects independently and take responsibility for programme, quality, compliance, and commercial control.
Key Responsibilities
- End‑to‑end management of passive fire contracts
- Leading delivery across fire stopping and fire door packages
- Planning and coordinating labour, materials, access, and programmes
- Managing site teams and specialist subcontractors
- Ensuring works meet specification, certification, and fire safety requirements
- Direct client liaison and issue resolution on live sites
- Weekly coordination and management meetings in Gillingham
- Managing variations, progress reporting, and handover documentation
- Supporting audits, inspections, and quality reviews
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within passive fire protection
- Strong, practical knowledge of fire stopping systems
- Strong knowledge of fire door installation and remediation
- Ability to manage multiple live sites autonomously
- Confident dealing with clients, consultants, and senior stakeholders
- Full UK driving licence
- Able to attend Gillingham on a weekly basis
Desirable
- FIRAS / BM TRADA or similar schemes
- Experience working on social housing or public‑sector frameworks
- SMSTS
- Strong understanding of compliance evidence and certification
- IFE Level 3
