The Role
We’re looking for a Machinist to join our factory team in Gillingham, working on the production and preparation of fire doors using specialist machinery.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
Contract: Self-employed for the first 3 months, with a clear pathway to a permanent position
This is a hands-on role where precision, consistency, and attention to detail are key.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating and setting up CNC machinery within a production environment
- Assisting with the manufacture and preparation of fire doors
- Working to technical specifications and production standards
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure compliance
- Supporting the team to meet production targets and deadlines
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
What We’re Looking For
- Min 2 years experience operating CNC machinery within a joinery or furniture manufacturing environment
- Confidence using or learning computer-controlled machinery
- A quick learner with a proactive attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- A reliable, professional approach to work
