This is an exciting time to join the LFB finance team. We have recently implemented SAP4HANA and SAP Ariba, becoming the first public sector organisation to go live with a cloud‑based system.
About the Role
The post-holder will be an assistant in the Accounts Payable and Receivable (APAR) Team, which comprises Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Petty Disbursements and Credit Card reconciliations. The post-holder will assist in delivering a high‑quality, fully comprehensive Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable service to the Brigade and all other users, focusing on customer service.
What We’re Looking For
- Current or recent experience working in an accounts payable/receivable team in a large organisation.
- Comfort with a wide range of IT applications and a readiness to become proficient in SAP4HANA.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for providing a good service to colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Strong numerical skills for preparing reports, checking arithmetic, and interpreting data.
- Well‑developed interpersonal skills to maintain efficient working relationships at all levels and deliver high‑standard customer care.
- Good organisational skills to manage workloads, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
This role does not require any finance qualifications, but there are plenty of learning and development opportunities within the finance team, including the chance to work towards professional qualifications.
