The Opportunity
London Filmed is a digital-first live event production and creative media company powered by people who are transforming the way events are built. We provide a single-source solution that leverages the power of technology, technical expertise, and creative media to build best-in-class live event media solutions for leading brands and event professionals in the UK, USA, and Europe. We are proud to work with global brands including The Financial Times, AllSaints, Brompton Bicycles, Google, Beavertown, PA Consulting, and Thinkbox on their event production and video content.
London Filmed is an ambitious company, and we believe that diverse teams are essential for achieving our goals. We are dedicated to cultivating an inclusive environment that honours diversity and encourages equity, inviting candidates from all backgrounds to succeed as part of our team and play a crucial role in the company's success.
The Role
- We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative who is a confident driver, genuinely enjoys being on the road, and has a real interest in the audio-visual world.
- You will take satisfaction in getting the right kit to the right place, on time, every time, and be the person who spots when something doesn't look right and sorts it before it becomes a problem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, and prepare AV equipment for deliveries and collections.
- Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Deliver and collect AV equipment to and from venues across London, ensuring safe handling and transportation.
- Drive our medium-sized van confidently in and around central London, including tight streets and dense traffic.
- Plan and optimise delivery routes for timely arrivals, and complete all deliveries within the required timeframes.
- Run daily vehicle checks — fuel, oil, tyres, and overall condition.
- Get equipment ready the night before jobs: de-prep, maintenance, and service, so kit goes out in top condition.
- Carry out technical checks before dispatch — a good eye for whether everything is present, correct, and working as it should.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse.
- Assist the AV team with stock control, inventory checks, and equipment tracking using our logistics software (RMS).
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries and collections.
- Work with local crew and crew agencies as needed to move kit.
- Bring your own ideas — we want someone who improves how we do things, not just follows the steps.
- Knowledge of Carnets ("passports" for kit to be sent abroad) would be an advantage.
The Person
- Valid UK driving licence (clean, held for a minimum of 5 years) — previous van driving experience a bonus.
- Confident and genuinely happy behind the wheel, comfortable driving vans in central London.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, kitroom, hire house, or logistics role — ideally within the AV or events industry.
- Keen interest in the audio-visual industry, with an appreciation for how AV works.
- AV experience desirable; camera operating experience a nice bonus.
- A proactive, solutions-focused, self-starting mindset, with the ability to handle unexpected changes.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
- Happy with moderate to heavy lifting on a repeat basis.
- Flexibility around hours — early starts, late finishes, split shifts, and occasional weekends when required.
Career progression opportunities include shadowing and learning from other departments, support to upskill on the AV side, and clear progression opportunities with salary reviews after probation and every six months thereafter, based on performance and at the director's discretion.
Location: Shoreditch, London
The package includes £27,500 - £30,000 depending on experience, a bonus scheme of up to 10% of salary, annual bonus scheme linked to company and personal performance, 28 days holiday (including bank holidays), birthday off, extended Christmas break, company perks, and regular professional development opportunities.
Start date: ASAP
Interview process: Initial Zoom meeting followed by a face-to-face second-stage interview with a task.
