We’re looking for a motivated Junior Video Editor to join our production team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who is eager to grow their skills in video editing and production. Working closely with the Post Production Manager and two editors, you will assist in editing video content, supporting the editing workflow, and learning to deliver high-quality final videos for clients. Work on event highlight videos, corporate interviews and produce creative video production work too.

Contract: Permanent

Remuneration: £26,000 - £28,000 depending on experience + bonus scheme, salaries are reviewed every 6 months

Location: Head office in Shoreditch

Working: 4 days per week in the office, one from home is the team culture

The Role

  • Video Editing: Help the edit team with basic video editing tasks using Adobe Premiere Pro; simple projects, trimming footage, syncing clips, and organising project files.
  • Sound Mixing & Colour Grading: Apply basic sound mixing and colour correction techniques to videos.
  • Basic Graphics Creation: Assist with simple graphic design tasks using After Effects and other tools, as needed.
  • Footage & Asset Management: Source and organise stock footage, music, sound effects (SFX), and other assets for editing projects.
  • Assist in Workflow Organization: Collaborate with the production team to maintain smooth and efficient post-production workflows.
  • Research & Learning: Stay up-to-date with new editing techniques, trends, and software updates. Regularly enhance your skills using educational resources like YouTube, tutorials, and internal workshops.
  • Project Setup: Help prepare editing projects by syncing footage, organising files, and setting up sequences for editing.
  • Media Management: Support the management of hard drives, cloud storage, and project organisation on platforms like Frame.io and Vimeo.
  • Review & Feedback: Observe and provide constructive feedback to fellow team members, while also being receptive to feedback from senior editors.
  • Client Communications: Learn how to manage client communications with the support of the Post Production Manager.

The Person - Requirements

  • Basic Editing Knowledge: Adobe Premiere Pro for basic video editing tasks (cutting, trimming, and basic transitions).
  • Basic understanding of Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop.
  • A creative and proactive attitude with a strong eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to learn in a collaborative environment.
  • Basic technical knowledge of video formats, codecs, and video export.
  • Sound and Colour Understanding: Basic knowledge of sound mixing and colour grading within Premiere Pro.
  • Graphics & After Effects: basic graphic creation in After Effects is a plus.
  • Organisational Skills: organise files, assets, and editing projects, following workflows.
  • Problem-Solving: troubleshoot basic editing issues and learn solutions independently.
  • Eager to Learn: expand your editing knowledge and grow into a more experienced editing role.
