The Role
Represent the company at one or multiple permanent event venues in London, providing top quality AV support.
- Operate and maintain professional video, lighting and audio equipment
- Provide the best in class customer service on-site and remotely
- Support everything from board meetings to up to 200 person events
- Providing solutions for any technical challenge on events
- Transport and setup of video, lighting, and audio equipment as required
- Coordinate equipment as required
- Operate and maintain professional video, lighting and audio equipment
- Work with an internal team of Event Producers, Project Managers, Designers, and Video Producers, and coordinate freelance production crew
- Coordinate crew and equipment as needed
- Ability to spot points of failure and have suitable contingencies in place
- Assist staff with pulling, staging, and striking audio/visual equipment for events
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
- Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
- Location and on-site management
- Assess technical and on-site health and safety risks, be alert for live issues on event days and be primed to react accordingly
- Follow-up and feedback on internal processes and workďŹows
- Keep up to date with developments in the industry and share internally
The Person
- 1-3+ Years of AV Production or Broadcast Industry Experience
- Proficient in audio equipment; Allen & Heath, Yamaha, Sennheiser, etc.
- Ability to set up and ring out a PA
- Knowledge/understanding of wireless microphone systems
- ProďŹcient in video equipment; Roland, Blackmagic Design, etc.
- Knowledge of different video standards
- Technical knowledge of common video equipment and common workďŹows
- Proactive communicator, to build relationships with all stakeholders
- Highly organised to make sure no ball is dropped
- Driven to do a great job, and to learn new skills
- Creative and curious
Desired experience
- Knowledge and experience operating a variety of large and small-scale audio events
- Experience in streaming, vMix, RTMP, SRT, NDI, etc.
- Video cameras and ďŹlm lighting knowledge
- ProďŹcient in lighting equipment; uplighters, moving head, and stationary lights
