This role oversees the full lifecycle management of the company’s automotive IP licensing projects and external entrusted development projects. The IP Project Manager is responsible for coordinating internal R&D resources, controlling project delivery progress, output quality and contractual compliance, and resolving cross‑departmental and cross‑organisation collaboration issues to ensure stable, standardised and compliant project execution for global IP commercialisation business.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of IP technology licensing and entrusted development projects, covering project initiation, requirement confirmation, milestone breakdown, schedule planning, progress tracking and final project review and closure.
- Develop structured project milestone plans, continuously monitor execution progress, identify schedule bottlenecks and resource conflicts, and coordinate cross‑functional resources to resolve issues promptly, ensuring on‑time delivery and preventing contractual delays and breaches.
- Collaborate closely with internal commercial teams, IP management teams and external development partners to align project requirements, unify communication standards, and synchronise delivery expectations, review criteria and contractual compliance specifications.
- Verify project deliverables, licensing scope, technical standards and implementation specifications, strictly control the usage boundary of automotive IP assets and standardise technical output quality, and conduct comprehensive review of final project delivery outcomes.
- Proactively identify and assess ongoing project risks, including performance compliance risks, cross‑party collaboration risks, IP compliance risks and delivery quality risks, and implement effective risk mitigation measures.
- Establish and maintain standardised project files and databases, fully recording project profiles, cooperation scopes, delivery milestones, change records and acceptance results.
- Manage unified archiving and categorisation of all project documentation to meet local commercial compliance requirements and support internal and external audit.
- Conduct regular project reviews, summarise practical challenges and operational experience, optimise internal workflows, and establish standardised execution procedures for IP licensing and entrusted development projects.
- Carry out any other project management and operational tasks or responsibilities as assigned by senior leadership.
Experience To Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Engineering, Automotive, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant full‑lifecycle IP licensing, technology commercialisation project management roles.
- Proven practical experience in delivering large‑scale IP commercialisation and cross‑border technical development projects is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrable track record of independently managing and delivering medium‑to‑large scale projects with complete lifecycle control.
- Prior experience in automotive technology R&D, cross‑border project management is highly desirable.
- Possession of professional project management certifications is advantageous.
