LEC are seeking enthusiastic and high performing individuals who enjoy working on challenging projects. Individuals must be highly motivated expert problem solvers with experience and in-depth knowledge to help us work on transitioning power systems with a view towards increasing renewable energy targets in the UK and overseas.

You should have an electrical engineering degree with a specialism in power systems, or you should be able to demonstrate that you have gained equivalent experience in the power system analysis field. You should also be fully fluent in written and spoken English.

We currently have openings at all levels from Graduate Engineer to Principal Engineer. Experienced applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Experience in studies, system planning and/or design of Transmission, Distribution, renewable systems, BESS and data centres.
  • Detailed knowledge in the use of power system software packages, PSS/E, DIgSILENT, PSCAD, etc.
  • Manage deliverables, schedules and work within budgets for client projects and studies.
  • Undergraduate or higher engineering degree qualification including Chartered Engineer level (or working towards Chartership).
  • The ability to take “ownership” of projects from start-to-finish which culminate in high quality deliverables with a high standard of presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent technical report writing skills.
  • Be proficient in the use of standard Microsoft desktop applications, e.g Word and Excel.
  • Scripting experience in Python, DIgSILENT or VBA programming language would be advantageous.
