To lead and embed a "Quality First" culture across Tom Howley and Neville Johnson factories by identifying process variation, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring all finished products consistently meet internal standards, customer specifications and brand expectations. The individual will be encouraged to embrace and foster a high performing culture across the manufacturing organisation aligned with our BHID values.
Key Aspects Of The Role
- Drive improvements in Right First Time (RFT) performance and support On Time In Full (OTIF).
- Carry out root cause analysis on recurring quality issues and implement robust corrective and preventative actions.
- Act as the central point for quality data, coordinating information from production, installations, the drawing office, procurement and factory leadership.
- Monitor trends, produce regular quality reports for action.
- Work with supervisors and department heads to identify skill gaps, improve adherence to quality standards and support targeted coaching or training activity.
- Support factory audits, standard operating procedures and quality checks.
Please note that regular weekly travel is required between our 2 factories in Glossop and Trafford Park.

- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret quality data, identify trends and turn findings into actions.
- Good understanding of quality control processes, problem-solving techniques and continuous improvement principles.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety requirements.

- Highly organised, detail-focused and persistent in following issues through to resolution.
- Proactive and resilient, with a strong sense of ownership and a commitment to high standards.
Key Experience Required
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production or factory-based quality role.
- Experience of investigating non-conformance issues and implementing corrective actions to improve performance.
- Proven involvement in continuous improvement activity, including reducing defects, waste or rework.
- Experience of working cross-functionally with production, operations, procurement or technical teams.
- Experience of using data or reporting to monitor quality performance and support decision-making.
- Experience of coaching, guiding or training colleagues to improve consistency and standards is desirable.
