Job Description
BHID Group is the UK’s leading fitted furniture company with more than 30 years’ experience in creating bespoke luxury interiors. BHID Group comprises of three market leading brands, they are Neville Johnson, Tom Howley Kitchens and The London Door Company. Following continued successful growth, we are seeking to recruit a 3D CAD Operator who will work for Tom Howley based in our Trafford Park Offices in Manchester.
The Role
- You will be responsible for finalising manufacturing drawings, based on details supplied by surveyors
- Modelling of special parts and production of drawings for suppliers
- Modelling and assembly of pre-manufacturing drawings for client approval
- Designing Lead Light glass panels, based on a set range
- Final sign off, of all documents pre-manufacture
- Working with both sales and survey divisions
A Successful Applicant Will
- Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of 3D CAD software (Solidworks will be advantageous)
- Have a good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
- Have a good level of IT literacy
- Understand basic joinery
- Have a keen eye for details and an understanding of traditional design
- Be able to use initiative and problem solve
- Work to tight deadlines in a fast paced work environment
- Be able to communicate for other departments within the business confidently
