Spire Occupational Health (Spire OH) – part of the Spire Healthcare Group -is looking for a dynamic, efficient and confident Occupational Health Technician to support our Occupational Health Services on a part-time basis in Wales.
This is an exciting opportunity for Spire OH where you will be independently managing health surveillance clinics, handling tasks on client sites and providing confidential, accurate reports in various formats.

As an Occupational Health Technician, there will be daily travel client sites in and around Newport in order to deliver our services. Therefore, access to a vehicle and valid driver\\\’s license is essential in this position.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in an Occupational Health Technician, Health Advisor role.
- Phlebotomy trained.
- Experience or exposure in the Healthcare, Medical, Sport Science sector or similar.
- Access to a vehicle and a valid driving license for travel to client sites.
- Strong IT Skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking health screening procedures including general baseline measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, and urinalysis.
- Testing for Drug and Alcohol.
- Taking bloods for necessary checks.
- Carrying out fitness for work medicals.
- Undertaking health surveillance activities.
- Delivering health promotion activities.
- Ensuring all medical information is accurately recorded.
- Responsible for looking after the equipment and ensuring it is serviceable, clean, and fit for purpose.
- Providing support to the Occupational Health team when needed.
