Part-time SENCO

Days: 4 days per week (Mon and Wed-Fri). 8:45am – 3:45pm (6 hours per day).

Contract Type: Permanent. Starting from September 2026.

The Governing Board is looking to appoint a part‑time (0.8) SENCO to join our school in September 2026. We are looking to appoint a high‑quality, enthusiastic SENCO to work across the school. St. Andrew’s is a friendly, high‑achieving Church school in the heart of Enfield Town, part of The Saints Federation and with close links to St. Andrew’s Church. Pupils, staff and parents are very much a part of a supportive community.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate and deliver excellent teaching.
  • Have high expectations of every child enabling them to make exceptional progress.
  • Have excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Inspire, challenge, support and empower others in the delivery of SEND provision for all children with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or be willing to achieve the latest qualification during the early years of being in post.
  • Have good interpersonal skills, establishing excellent working relationships with all staff, external professionals, governors, pupils and parents.
  • Ensure the best possible outcomes for SEND pupils and their families by influencing best practice across the school.
  • Be committed to ongoing professional development in the field of SEND.
