St Peter’s CE Primary School is looking for a dedicated and child‑centred SENCO to make a real difference in our vibrant, diverse inner London primary school. We are seeking an outstanding practitioner to join our leadership team and champion exceptional provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

About the role
- Build strong, positive relationships with families and ensure they feel informed, supported and valued.
- Lead the strategic development of SEND policy and provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure high‑quality, inclusive teaching and effective interventions.
- Coordinate provision for pupils with EHCPs and those requiring SEN support.
- Manage referrals, assessments and liaison with external agencies, including educational psychology, CAMHS, SENDIASS and the Local Authority.
- Oversee accurate SEN record keeping.
- Support and train staff to confidently meet a wide range of needs, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, language and communication needs and complex individual profiles.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions, using data to drive improvement.
- Lead and deliver small‑group interventions.
