Medical Welfare Officer
Salary Scale: Scale 3, points 5-6. Actual salary £25,553 - £25,918 for 37.5 hours per week, term-time. Start date: ASAP.
Overview
As part of our caring, compassionate approach, we are seeking an organised and proactive Medical Welfare Officer to support the health, safety and wellbeing of our students.
Responsibilities
- Manage the school's Medical Welfare Room.
- Provide first aid to students and staff.
- Maintain medical records and accident/incident records.
- Ensure smooth coordination of student health provision across the school.
- Liaise with parents, healthcare professionals and staff for best possible care and safeguarding.
- Coordinate vaccination programmes.
- Manage medical supplies and ensure compliance with school policies and health and safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- First Aid at Work qualification (or willingness to obtain one).
- Calm, compassionate, highly organised.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to both routine and urgent situations.
