The Role

Mortgaging or remortgaging a property can be a daunting experience for first-time and experienced buyers alike, and getting the right deal is a crucial factor in putting buyers\’ and homeowners\’ minds at ease. Luckily for them, that\’s exactly where you will come in. From starter homes to investment properties, you\’ll be there on the end of the phone with the kind of advice that helps makes property dreams come true.

You\’ll scope out the best mortgage options through listening to customers\’ circumstances, fully documenting these and coming up with a solution that both meets their needs and satisfies regulatory rules and standards as you go.

We\’ll arm you with all the knowledge you need to help make the best decisions for our customers. Will they be best served by a fixed-term or variable mortgage? Do they need the option to overpay each month? What about fee free early exit? We\’ll teach you all these terms for you to present to customers, you\’ll need to be clear, concise and confident, and by doing all this you\’ll demonstrate L&C values, our passion for mortgages and why our customers were right to choose us.

Of course, there will be administrative work along the way but, above all, it\’s about building that rapport and a real sense of trust that you\’re going to do everything you can to deliver a compliant deal that really works for the customer, showing them they were right to choose us.

You\’ll need great written and verbal communication skills, and may have some sales and product delivery skills already, with experience in financial services a plus but by no means a requirement. We\’re looking for driven people, eager to learn and aren\’t afraid to shy away from hard work, as there\’ll be some graft to keep up in this fast paced industry, with fabulous earning opportunity off the back of it.

You\’re going to need serious organising and prioritising skills to max-out on productivity and results without compromising on quality of care. Not to mention solid IT skills and a strong team-focused approach. Finally, you\’re going to need bags of confidence, because there are going to be decisions to make as to which offers you put in front of customers.
