Ready to leave your mark on a Major Business Transformation?
Here at L&C Mortgages, we're embarking on one of the most significant technology and business transformation programmes in our history - replacing core platforms, modernising how we operate, and transitioning to a predominantly cloud-based environment built on Microsoft Azure.
This isn't a role for someone who simply manages transition. We're looking for someone who can define it.
As our Service Transition Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring new technologies, services and platforms move seamlessly from project delivery into live operation. You'll be at the heart of our transformation programme, building operational readiness, driving service management maturity, and creating the foundations that will support the business for years to come.
You'll be equally comfortable shaping strategy at senior leadership level, rolling up your sleeves to solve complex delivery challenges and ensure no detail is overlooked.
What you'll be doing
- Leading end-to-end service transition activities across major technology and business change initiatives
- Defining and embedding best-practice ITIL service management processes and governance
- Driving operational readiness across support teams, suppliers and business stakeholders
- Ensuring new services, applications and platforms are fully prepared for live operation
- Managing service acceptance, operational handover, risk management and transition governance
- Building strong relationships across Technology, Change, Operations and third-party suppliers
- Identifying opportunities to improve service management capability and operational effectiveness
- Playing a key role in our journey to a modern, cloud-first Azure environment
What we're looking for
We're seeking a passionate service management professional who thrives in fast-paced transformation environments and enjoys creating structure, governance and sustainable operational excellence.
You'll bring:
- Extensive Service Transition and IT Service Management experience
- Deep practical knowledge of ITIL processes across Incident, Problem, Change, Service Design, Service Transition and Continual Improvement
- ITIL Practitioner-level certification (or equivalent experience)
- Experience implementing and driving adoption of ITSM processes and tooling (Halo ITSM experience would be advantageous)
- Microsoft Azure certification and experience supporting cloud-based environments
- Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution
- Experience operating within regulated environments, ideally financial services or mortgages would be ideal, but not essential

We're always ready to listen and do what we can to make L&C even better for those receiving and providing our services through supporting the day to day running of the business, so working with us means being part of an environment of respect and equity with some great benefits to boot. We're entering a dynamic period and it's a great time to join us, we're already the UK's No.1 online mortgage broker but we don't want to stop there.
Joining L&C means:
- 25 days starting annual leave, plus your birthday & bank holidays off non inclusive of your holiday allowance
- Perkbox benefits hub (comprehensive discounts, perks & wellbeing support)
- Purchase Holiday scheme (up to 3 additional days leave per year)
- Electric Car Scheme
- Comprehensive employee assistance & wellbeing programmes (Virtual 24/7 GP, personal and dependant Mental Health Support, physiotherapy services and much more)
- Annual company wide Summer & Winter parties and team led social events
- ...and much more!
This is a rare opportunity to influence the future direction of technology and service management within a market-leading organisation.
You'll have the platform to shape new ways of working, implement lasting improvements, and leave a genuine legacy as we deliver one of the most ambitious transformation programmes in our history.
