Role: Uncertain times call for certain measures and, for L&C customers, they come in the form of protecting the things that matter most: their homes, families and lifestyles. But being a Protection Adviser during this ongoing period of uncertainty is not only about offering L&C customers a sense of reassurance, it’s also about having a role that offers you a steady career path with clear progression. When talking to our customers, you’ll use your empathic ear to really listen to their concerns so that you can deliver the right kind of insurance. Often a customer might not know exactly what they need, so you’ll be advising them on options such as Critical Illness Insurance, Income Protection and Life Insurance, documenting your findings and recommendations throughout the process.

What’s also important is that you deliver that perfect balance of outstanding customer care, regulatory adherence and impressive workload efficiency to exceed your performance targets and KPIs. That will be achieved through eagle-eyed attention to detail, a warm and friendly approach that builds rapport and trust, and really understanding each customer’s needs.

About you: Your employment within sales or customer service has already helped you to hone your listening skills and help consistently build that all important rapport with customers and support them based on their needs. Now you’re looking to really push your career to the next level, working hard for that all-important personal and professional development. You’ll have developed these great personable skills already in a similar role within finance, or possibly within a different sector. Of course excellent communication skills are a must, to have these conversations with clients to develop policies and help protect what matters most, and keen organisation and IT skills to keep on top of your work independently, and really make the most of your bonus opportunities. You’ll be a confident team player and equally self motivated, who loves the idea of developing and progressing within the industry by doing their best for every customer. You’ll be a great representative of the values of L&C – and that’s everything you’ll need to go far here.

We care about our customers, but our employees are what make the magic happen. We’re always ready to listen and do what we can to make L&C even better for those receiving and providing our services. Working with us means being part of an environment of respect and equity. The standard of training is as high as it can be, so that the service you’re able to deliver is at the same level. What you do with it and where you take your role from there is up to you – because there are ample opportunities to flourish and progress.
