The Role
As a DBR Adviser, your purpose will be to provide a high-quality advised service for builder relationship leads to achieve agreed performance targets and meet the mortgage and protection needs of our clients, issuing prompt feedback to third-party builders on the qualification status of clients as well as providing ongoing updates on cases. Additionally, you will need to attend site visits and trade shows with sufficient notice, as well as working 1 in 6 Saturdays and 1 in 6 Sundays.
You will work to become a specialist on BTL cases including portfolio landlords and Ltd Co BTL’s and actively work to generate further sales opportunities from targeted lead sources as designated by the company, ensuring your work is of the highest standard and you perform well across all forms of quality metrics.
FCA Certification Regime & Conduct Rules
L&C is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and is classified as an “Enhanced Firm” under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR). This role will fall into the “Certification and Conduct” elements of the regime. L&C will be required to attest to your integrity, competence and financial soundness on an initial and regular basis if you’re successful in your application and as a “Certification Regime” employee, your personal and professional details will be published in the FCA’s Directory which is accessible to the public. This can provide comfort to customers that they are dealing with a legitimate and monitored Adviser that belongs to a firm with a solid culture and ethics. You will also be personally subject to the 6 FCA Conduct Rules. You may already be aware of these but don’t worry if not. If successful in securing an interview and role, a detailed explanation and training will be provided.
About You
You will need to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Mortgage Advisor selling new build products (Mortgage & Protection) and be CeMap qualified. You are able to provide customers appropriate protection advice alongside mortgage and exercise such customer care and consideration that ensures the business sold remains persistent in accordance with at least the company’s agreed performance standard. You should be able to build and maintain positive and effective relationships with clients, builders, and other parties alike. If you have that product and industry knowledge, then why not apply?
