We are seeking a proactive and driven Principal Policy & Project Officer to join our team. The role will be based in the housing and planning team, which is seeking to support the delivery of thousands of new homes across London, raising the standard of housing and addressing the capital’s worsening homelessness crisis. London Councils’ is an agile work environment. This is therefore an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in developing and implementing policies that address key challenges across London. Working across strategic directorates, you will engage with diverse stakeholders, drive collaborative initiatives, and deliver impactful policy outcomes that align with London Councils’ values and priorities. Key Responsibilities: Develop evidence-based policies to address city-wide needs. Engage with stakeholders across government, public, private, and voluntary sectors. Manage projects to deliver local government initiatives. Communicate complex policy updates clearly to diverse audiences. Monitor and evaluate policy outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulations. About You: Proven experience in public policy, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills to engage diverse audiences. Desirable: Knowledge of local government structures and processes, and data analysis skills.
