London Construction Contractor Ltd (LCC) is a growing design and build contractor delivering commercial fit-out, refurbishment and development projects across Greater London. We work with a wide range of clients, delivering projects from concept and planning through to construction and completion.
We are looking for a motivated and technically capable Part II or Part III Architectural Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working on live projects, developing technical detailing skills and being involved throughout the full construction process.
The Role
You will work closely with the Director and project team to develop architectural designs and produce technical drawing packages for commercial fit-out, refurbishment and development projects.
The role offers exposure to every stage of a project, including design development, technical coordination, procurement support and site inspections.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare planning, technical, tender and construction drawing packages.
- Produce detailed architectural drawings, specifications and construction details.
- Develop layouts and technical solutions from initial client briefs.
- Coordinate drawings with structural engineers, M&E consultants and specialist subcontractors.
- Assist with Building Regulations and statutory approval submissions.
- Review and update drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attend site visits, surveys and project meetings.
- Assist with procurement and technical coordination during construction.
- Ensure drawings comply with current Building Regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain project documentation and drawing registers.
- Support the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously while meeting programme deadlines.
Requirements
- RIBA Part II or III qualification
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in architectural practice or design & build.
- Strong technical drawing and detailing skills.
- Experience producing technical, tender and construction drawing packages.
- Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction methods.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience using SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Full right to work in the UK.
- RIBA Part III qualification and/or ARB registration.
- Experience within commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects.
- Experience coordinating with consultants and contractors.
- Knowledge of procurement and construction sequencing.
