As Aviation Analyst, you’ll support the Aviation Director and the Head of Aviation Business Development in analysing our airlines performance and opportunities. You’ll help understanding travel trends and LCY position in an ever-evolving aviation environment. You will be an essential member of the sales development team looking to enhance schedule, load factors pricing, routes network and attract new airlines. You’ll also be exposed to various business stakeholders (Marketing, Finance, Commercial, Operations), supporting their analysis needs for aviation and wider market opportunities. Data-hungry and a master of spreadsheets, you will unearth key insights to identify growth opportunities and influence Aviation strategy, increasing passenger numbers and revenue for the airport. You will breathe life into data concepts and ideas through the use of presentations and data tools such as Power BI.
Aviation Reporting Responsibilities
- Monitor market, fare, fleet trends and performance.
- Track airlines schedule operation and highlight timing potential improvement
- Monitor airlines performance within LCY customer proposition
- Construct and deliver monthly Airlines performance versus forecast
- Support traffic forecasting
- Owns and manages 3rd party platforms for Aviation insights
- Help develop improved pitch collateral / presentations for airlines prospects.
- Work closely with the Commercial Data and Insight lead to generate traffic trends and highlight LCY position
- Passion for Aviation industry
- Strong and proven presentation skills
- Fast learner with the ability to learn new data platforms intuitively
- Ability to remain calm and communicate clearly under pressure
- Strong collaborative skills and a great team player
- Eagerness to ‘roll up sleeves’ and get the job done

Essential Personal Attributes
- 3+ years’ experience within airline or aviation environment
- Demonstrable experience of creatively bringing data concepts and ideas to life using presentations
- End to end quantitative and qualitative research management
- Previous experience in schedule analytic programmes such as Airport IS, Cirium or Sabre would be beneficial but not essential
- Advanced MS Excel, Power BI or similar and analytical techniques
