Do you have experience of working with high value clients in corporate fundraising environments? London Business School require a Senior Development Manager to join our Advancement team on a permanent basis. You will be a key member of the Major Giving Team, responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of high-net-worth individual (HNWI) prospects to deliver significant major gifts (£50k-£1m per annum) in support of the School's strategic priorities.
Our Advancement department is focused on advancing the vision and ambition of the School by engaging with over 53,000 alumni in over 155 countries. We manage all fundraising programmes, including the "Forever Forward" campaign, aiming to reach £200 million. The department works closely with various parts of the School to develop a community of supporters.
Main Responsibilities
- Overseeing a portfolio of 100-150 engaged and undiscovered prospects.
- Collaborating with the Executive Director of Philanthropy and the New York major gifts community.
- Proactively working with the Prospect Research team to identify new supporters.
- Supporting the success of the Forever Forward Campaign and VIP events.
- Utilising and attending school events to develop contact networks.
Who we are looking for
- Significant fundraising experience, ideally within a university or higher-education organisation.
- Minimum of 3+ years in Major Gifts fundraising with experience in closing six-figure gifts.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Experience at a senior level within an organisation, developing relationships and negotiating.
- Strong organisational skills to manage a diverse portfolio of prospects.
- Innovative, creative, and energetic approach to fundraising.
